Who is Odd Girl?

I’m Holly! An Edinburgh-based self-taught artist working primarily in oils.

To be an Odd Girl is to have the confidence to be unapologetically yourself, doing what you like, when you like, without concern for what others may think. In my art practice, this means painting the subjects which interest me disregarding any rhyme or reason. One day a study of the beautiful Scottish flora and fauna, the next, a cockroach delivering a self-love pep talk. Mine is an art journey governed by doing what makes me happy!

I have been creative for as long as I’ve been alive but it is only recently that I’ve worked up the courage to take myself seriously as an artist and embrace my Odd Girl.
